Pollution is harmful. It negatively impacts the land, water, air, and us. Whenever we throw away garbage or burn something, we are contributing to the world’s pollution. And it doesn’t stop there because pollution also comes from factories, cars, and even things we use every day, like plastic bottles etc.
Every day, smoke from factories and cars enters the air we breathe. That makes it dirty, toxic and dangerous. Sometimes it’s not visible, but it’s still there. Water also gets polluted. But how? Trash, chemicals, even oil abound in rivers, lakes, and oceans is the biggest reason to pollute the water. These reasons make the water unsafe for drinking and even swimming. Similarly, for some reasons, the dry area of the earth also becomes unsafe. Piles of garbage in streets, gardens, and forests pollute the air, causing immense harm to the insects, plants, and animals that live there.
In the beginning, it doesn’t seem big problem. It actually seems very easy, “It’s just a little smoke or trash.” But with the passage of time, these difficulties increase. As the pollution increases, worse and worse things start to emerge. This has a very bad impact on our health and the earth, due to which things soon get out of control.
Let’s talk about it in details.

What Is Pollution?
When things become dirty and unsafe, it is called pollution. It comes from cars, factories, trash, and even plastic. Sometimes it appears very slowly and sometimes it appears very quickly, like oil spills into water.
It is not necessary that we see it, but it is everywhere.
How It Hurts Our Health
Whether we believe it or not, pollution makes people sick and that is a fact. When we breathe dirty air, our lungs sense it. Many children, elderly people, and those with sensitive temperaments easily fall victim to asthma. Some people suffer so much, they end up in the hospital, struggling just to breathe.
Not only that, as we mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, pollution also makes water dirty, so drinking dirty water can cause our stomach to get upset.
When we breathe bad air, our lungs feel it. Many kids and old people get asthma. Some even end up in hospitals. Bad water can make our tummies hurt. It can bring on fevers, painful rashes, and sometime things far worse than we ever expect.
In some places, food is also affected. Plants that grow in dirty soil can be very harmful. They may contain substances that can make us sick.
In other words, our health is seriously at risk, and we may not even be aware of it until it is too late.
The Earth Is Crying Too
Animals lose their homes. Fish die from plastic in oceans. Birds eat garbage and can’t fly well. Forests are cut down, and the air becomes hot.
Because of this, the weather is changing. Ice is melting. Seas are rising. Storms are getting stronger. It’s happening slowly, but the damage is real.
Sadly, many things have already been lost.
Can We Help to Reduce the Pollution?
Yes, we can!
Start with small tasks that can make a big difference. Always throw garbage in the dustbin so that our air and climate can remain clean. Reduce plastic use and adopt alternatives. Prefer walking and cycling over driving a car to reduce the pollution caused by car emissions to keep the air clean. Turn off lights when you’re not using them to save energy. Plant trees because they produce oxygen and helps in reducing pollution.
Share this with your friends and family! From each of us, a little step counts greatly. We can build a cleaner, healthier the environment together.
Final Thoughts
Pollution isn’t just a word we hear every day. This is actually very dangerous for our health and our world. But the good thing is that if we start taking action now, we can make a real difference. Little by little, we can fix this. The earth is our home and we have to take care of it. So let’s make a commitment from today that we will take full care of our earth and environment.
